2016-11-10 - Christmas Fest Saturday, December 3 9am—2:30pm First Congregational Church of West Haven 464 Campbell Ave Bask in the Christmas spirit with craft and candy vendors, Pebbles’ bake sale, WHGNS Silent Auction, delicious lunch, pictures with Santa from 11:30-2, Christmas carols, and raffle of Christmas trees, wreaths, and other items (drawing at 2pm). Tree, Wreath, and More raffle and Pictures with Santa profits help W.H.E.A.T. provide for the West Haven community, kitchen profits support the Steeple Fund, and Silent Auction profits benefit the West Haven Green Nursery School.

2016-11-10 - The West Haven Veterans Council will hold an observance of Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, at the William A. Soderman Memorial Flagpole on the Veterans Walk of Honor in Bradley Point Park. All Veterans are invited to participate in the solemn ceremony, which commemorates the 75th anniversary of the Japanese bombing of Pearl Harbor. The service will bring with a presentation of the colors and a flag-raising by the West Haven Fire Department Honor guard. This will be followed with the national anthem and a prayer.

2016-11-09 - Veterans Day Ceremony: This event will be taking place on Friday November 11th at 10:45 am. The Ceremony will be at the Veterans Walk of Honor in Bradley Point Park. They are selling memorial bricks for $75 a piece. Around 2,500 bricks have already been installed. Applications for the bricks are available at the event as well as at the mayor's office at City hall located at 355 Main Street. You can also call 203-937-3510 for more details.

2016-11-09 - This years Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony will be taking place on Saturday November 26th at 5 pm. Enjoy singalongs and a special appearance by Santa, Mrs. Clause, and some of their elves. They will be in their workshop until 9 pm taking pictures with their visitors. At 6 pm Mayor O'Brien will be announcing the three selected artists of the Christmas card campaign.
