Stephen J. Sawyer Sr., 86, of West Haven passed away unexpectedly on June 2, 2016. He was the beloved husband of the late Jean Pasch Sawyer. Steve was a strong, loving and supportive father to his daughter Maureen Sawyer and his three predeceased sons Jeffrey, Kelly and Stephen J. Sawyer Jr.

Steve will be remembered for his wicked sense of humor and one who loved the friends of his children as if they were his own. He was a true gentleman and scholar. It is in this spirit, that his daughter asks , in lieu of flowers, that you consider designating yourself as an organ donor.
