Adele J. Noyes, age 89, of West Haven went home to be with the Lord on March 27, 2023. For 66 years, she was the loving wife of Harry M. Noyes. Adele was born on April 21, 1933 in New Haven, daughter of the late Antonio and Jenny Bredice Raiano. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her 3 children, Bonnee Bongiorno of NJ, Wendy (Steve) Theriault of CT, and Lisa (Robert) Westergan of TN, her 8 grandchildren: Charles A. Bongiorno (Beverly), Jamie McGrath (Sam), Katie Bongiorno, David Bongiorno, Alexis Westergan, Victoria Kent, Courtney Rosa (Dave), Harrison Kent, 5 great grandchildren: Annie, James, Benjamin, and Olivia Bongiorno and Natalie McGrath, and many nieces and nephews. Adele was predeceased by her sisters Gilda Vitale and Frances Lytwinick, her son-in-law Michael Kent, and her grandson Christopher Bongiorno.
Adele was a woman of God whose faith was a testament to all who knew her. She taught us to trust in God for all things through the good times and bad times and that we should love one another as Jesus loved us.
Adele graduated from Southern Connecticut State University and enjoyed teaching nursery and elementary school, daily mass, and her beloved Hallmark movies. She was a voracious reader and couldn’t put down a good book.
