Albert Reopell Obituary

 

Albert Peter Reopell, age 72, of New Haven passed away peacefully on May 21, 2021 at CT Hospice.  For 47 years, he was the loving husband of Lynn Fong Ly Reopell.  Albert was born in New Haven, son of the late Albert P. and Phyllis M. Apuzzo Reopell.  He is also survived by his adoring son Lee Reopell of New Haven, many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.  Al was predeceased by his sister Donna Marie Reopell.  He graduated from Quinnipiac College with a degree in accounting.  He proudly served in the CT Army National Guard and was a lifetime member of the ECGC.  Prior to his retirement, Al enjoyed a career in the trucking industry.

The hours for visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4-7pm at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green.  His funeral procession will leave the funeral home on Wednesday morning at 9:15 for a Mass of Christian Burial in Saints Aedan & Brendan Church at 10am.  Interment will follow in Beaverdale Memorial Park.  Masks are required for all indoor services.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his name to either Saints Aedan & Brendan Church 112 Fountain St. New Haven, CT 06515 or CT Hospice 100 Double Beach Rd. Branford, CT 06405.
