Albino O. ("Bino") Nunes

Albino O. Nunes, 75, of East Haven entered into eternal rest on April 17, 2026. Born in Agrela, Portugal, Bino was the son of the late Armando and Odete Oliviera Nunes.  He leaves three children Elizabeth (Michael) Gonsalves, Michael (Mary) Nunes and Christine (Brian Alonza) Nunes; six adored grandchildren Hailey and Jenna Gonsalves, Niko and Juliana Alonza, Autumn and Zoe Nunes.  One of nine children, Albino’s siblings and their spouses are Bill and Lisa Nunes, Adolfo and Myriam Nunes, Gloria and Tony Queiroga, Fernanda and Valdemar Queiroga, Herminio and Kathy Nunes, Armando Nunes and Anthony Berry, Beta and Tony Delmonico, the late Joseph Nunes and Connie.

Proud to be an American, he was also very proud of his Portuguese heritage and looked forward to his visits to Portugal.  During the 1980’s, Bino served on various committees at the Portuguese-American Club in New Haven.  A die-hard sports fan, he could often be found watching the NY Yankees or his favorite Portuguese soccer team, Benfica. Spending time with his children, getting together with his siblings and friends gave Bino so much joy.  He will forever be in our hearts and sorely missed by all.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday morning April 21, 2026 between 9 and 11 am at the West Haven Funeral Home.  A parlor service will take place at 11 am.  Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
