Amalia Simoes

Amalia Simoes, age 94, of West Haven passed away at CT Hospice on May 27, 2022.  She was born in New Haven, daughter of the late Alfredo and Emalia Simoes.   Amalia is survived by her sisters Dolores Piascik of West Haven & Elvira Ruggiero of Branford, her brother Anthony Simoes of West Haven, her godson Raymond Suraci of East Haven and her very special niece Maureen Ruggiero of East Haven.  She was predeceased by her siblings, Judith Jacobs Celentano, Marie Ann Suraci, Maria Alice Simoes, Manuel, Americo and Carlos Simoes and her dogs Gigi and Shelby.  Prior to her retirement, Amalia worked for Prime Technology.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Victory Church on Friday at 10am.  Interment will be private.  There will be no hours for visitation.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite animal shelter.  West Haven Funeral Home at the Green entrusted with arrangements.  To leave an online condolence, please visit our website at www.westhavenfuneral.com
