Ana D. Rodriguez, 79, passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family at her residence in New Haven on Saturday, September 28, 2024. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend who played a significant role in many lives. Born in Vega Alta, Puerto Rico, June 22,1945, she was a daughter of the late Leonides Santana and Asuncion Arce. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son Felix Guzman, son-in-law Ismael Class Jr., grandson Miguel A. Class, Baby Angel Class, and great-granddaughter Callie E. Class. Ana was a strong woman of faith who dedicated her life to God and was an active member of her church. She is survived by her three daughters, Luz S. Class, Wilma Rodriguez, and Giesi Rodriguez; sons-in-law Ezequiel Negron and Juan Carlos Lopez; grandchildren Ismael Class Jr. ll., Carisma C. Class, Genesis E. Class, Lexus A. Class, Estephanie Aviles, Micheal Salvania, Nayani Lopez, Ezeguiel Negron Jr., John Carlos Lopez, and Carlos Lopez; and 11 great grandchildren. As the matriarch of her family, Ana will be greatly missed. However, she leaves her indelible mark of love and happiness on all who were fortunate enough to know her. We will hold you in our hearts until we can hold you again in heaven. We love you, Mama.
We would like to thank the nursing staff of the passport unit at Regency House, Wallingford for their compassionate care along with the devotion and infinite support provided to Ana during her 2023 stay. Visitation for Ana will take place on Wednesday October 9 from 4 to 8 pm at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. On Thursday morning prayers and a celebration for Ana will begin at 10 o’clock at the funeral home, followed by interment in Evergreen Cemetery.
