Andrew Martin DePino

Andrew Martin DePino, age 82, of Milford, CT passed away on April 17, 2024.  He is survived by his children Edward M. (Jennice) DePino, his daughter Danielle Lucier, his granddaughters Gabriella, Annalise and Catherine DePino, his brother Chris DePino and Andrew's companion of many years, Jane Nowasodko.  He was predeceased by his loving wife, Mary.

Andrew was born in New Haven, CT and spent his early years growing up in the Hill Section of the city. He attended St. Anthony’s Grammar School, Notre Dame High School of West Haven, Quinnipiac University and the University of Bridgeport.  He was the first person in his large immigrant Italian family to graduate from college.

Andrew’s career spanned many decades, beginning with his employment with Pratt and Whitney Aircraft Corporation.  He also worked for General Dynamics of Groton CT where he was employed as a Senior Buyer for the Trident Submarine program.  Prior to his retirement, Andrew worked for the CT Department of Motor Vehicles as an emissions inspector.

He was an avid sports fan, rooting for the UConn Huskies, NY Yankees, and the NY Football Giants. Andrew loved reading and could always be seen holding a copy of the NY Post.

The family would like to give sincere thanks to Mary Hagerty of the Four Corners Rest Home in Devon, CT for her caregiving and support for Andrew in his later years.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 22, 2024 from 4-7pm at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green, with a prayer service commencing at 6:30pm.  Interment will be private.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Andrew’s favorite charity, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
