Angelica A. Muniz, 32, of West Haven, died on May 12, 2022, surrounded by her family. Born in New Haven on December 26, 1989, a daughter of Donna DelVecchio and the late Jose Muniz. In addition to her loving mother, Angelica is survived by sister Jessica (Anthony Volosin) DelVecchio; brother Vincent (Nicole) DelVecchio; grandparents Anthony and Colleen DelVecchio; uncle Anthony DelVecchio Jr.; aunts Nancy (Tod) Nixon and Dolores DelVecchio; nephew Julian DelVecchio; as well as cousins Kyle and Tod Nixon Jr.
Angelica, known to many as “Shorty”, was a beautiful person with a kind soul, one who was steadfast in her commitment to non-judgmental love, and trust, of all those she befriended. A ‘free spirit’ with artistic endeavors, Angelica yearned to live her life to the fullest and held an affinity for singing, all things music, capturing life’s fleeting and beautiful moments through her photography, spending quality time at the beach where she grew up and harnessed many long-term friendships. She held a profound love for all animals, most especially however, for her beloved cat “Yuki”. Our dear Angelica will forever be missed, having touched the lives of so many during her time with us.
A memorial service will take place in the funeral parlor on Thursday, May 19th, at 5 o’clock.
