Angelina (Angie) Mosher, 89, of Orange, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2023. Born in New Haven on June 21, 1934, a daughter of Louis and Susie Mongillo DelBuono, Angie is survived by her loving son John (Dorine) Mosher III; grandson David (Shannon) Mosher; great grandsons David Mosher, Jr. and Aiden Mosher; sister Carmella “Carol” (Richard) Coughlin; brother-in-law Jack Pragano; niece Kim (Paul) Paprocki; nephew Richard Coughlin; many other nieces and nephews; and numerous long-time friends in Florida. In addition to her parents, Angie was preceded in death by her husband John Mosher, Jr. and her brother, Simon “Sam” DelBuono.
Raised in New Haven, Angie worked as a secretary for Milford Automatics for many years. After retiring, she moved to Orange City, Florida, whereby she claims to have spent the best thirty-four years of her life. She loved the hot temperatures, gossiping around the community pool, music, dancing, eating out, and enjoying her active social life. She took in concerts, plays, day trips with her friends, and countless activities in the retirement community where she lived. She made many, many close and long-lasting friendships both in Connecticut and Florida. Angie loved to dress up, always coordinated her outfits and never wore the same thing twice. She was the happiest among her friends and family, so much so that her family lovingly referred to her as “The Gypsy,” as she was rarely home.
Arrangements were entrusted to West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. Calling hours will be held on Monday, August 28, from ten to eleven o’clock, at which time her memorial service will commence in the funeral parlor. Interment will follow in Orange Center Cemetery.
