Annamaria Nusdeu Russo, 85, of Orange passed away peacefully on December 26, 2024. She was the wife of the late Albert Russo. Her heartbroken family includes daughters Kathy (Stanley) Johnson and Lisa (partner Joseph Crisalli) and her adored grandchildren Joseph (fiancée Meghan Jacksis) Petrillo, Albert Russo, Allie Petrillo, Anthony and Nicholas Grippo. The youngest of nine children, Annamaria was predeceased by her parents John and Maria Fanelli Nusdeu and siblings Dominick, Frank, Nicholas and Tony Nusdeu, Nina Talnose, Lucille Angelo and Carmel Montano.
For over 20 years, Annamaria worked as a dental assistant to Dr. Richard Rosenfeld, DDS in Ansonia. She retired in 2019. So proud of her Italian heritage, she kept to the tradition of spoiling her family with her amazing cooking and baking skills, especially during the holidays. She enjoyed bingo weekly at the West Haven Italian-American Club where she held the position of treasurer of the Ladies Auxiliary.
On Monday morning December 30, visitation will take place at the West Haven Funeral Home from 9 to 11 am. A prayer service will begin at 11 o’clock, followed by interment in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
