Anne “Nancy” Adrian Meskill, 97, of Plantsville, and formerly of West Haven, passed away on February 17, 2026. Nancy was born in New Haven on October 5, 1928, the only daughter of the late Michael and Loretta Rourke Coffey. She is survived by her children Adriane (Christopher) Dunne, Robert (Patricia) Meskill, Jr., Richard (Holly Gresham) Meskill, and Steven (Mimika) Meskill; 13 grandchildren; Kristen, Casey, Emily, Bobby, Timmy, Caitlin, Meagan, Erin, Daniel, Stevie, Libby, Susie, and Mimi, as well as seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, the late Robert J. Meskill, Sr.
Raised in the Hill Section of New Haven, Nancy attended Sacred Heart School and graduated from Hillhouse High School. She met her husband while working at Yale New Haven Hospital. She and Bob lived in West Haven for 66 years and raised their loving family. Nancy was a parishioner of St. Lawrence Church; a member of the New Haven Women’s Club; and a frequent volunteer at Yale New Haven Hospital.
Anne’s family was her pride and joy. Some of her best times were the yearly vacations at the beach with the entire family. Anne enjoyed vacations to Ireland and the Holy Land. Anne also loved to crochet and quilt. Many of her friends and family had a crocheted blanket gifted to them.
Arrangements were entrusted to the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. Calling hours will be held on Friday, February 27, from 5 to 7 o’clock. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Agnes Church of Milford on Saturday, February 28 at 10 o’clock. All are asked to meet directly at church. Interment will immediately follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery, West Haven.
