Annelie B. Morissette, 74, of Milford, died on September 24, 2021. Born in Giengen, Germany on June 2, 1947, she was the daughter to the late Heinrich and Anna (Seessle) Hermes. Survived by her loving husband Yvon Morissette; son Steven (Jordan) Mendelssohn; sister Lore Hermes; and brother Werner Hermes. Annelie was also predeceased by her son Ronald Mace. Annelie enjoyed her career as a hairdresser, and always took great pleasure in bringing confidence and beauty to everyone around her. She held a love for fashion and home decorating, her home known for always being warm and cozy, a particular vibrancy brought about for each season. Annelie was keen on the written word and considered a talented poet, much of her work being published in various books throughout the years. She adored traveling, particularly to coastal Maine with her family where she and loved ones would delight in sights of the sea and various lighthouses. Perhaps her most cherished pastime was that of cooking traditional German cuisine for family gatherings around the holidays, getting to enjoy the belly laughs and smiles of her loved ones. Most of all, Annelie will best be remembered as a beloved and devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend. She will be greatly missed by those she leaves behind. Arrangements have been entrusted to West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. Calling hours will take place on Thursday, September 30th, from 4 to 7 o’clock, at the funeral home. Additional services will remain private.
