It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend, Mr. Arnold Greenfield, who passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, July 20, 2025.
Arnold was known for his caring heart and lively spirit. He was a gentle and respectful soul. Arnold had a great sense of humor, warm demeanor and willingness to help others. He held a special place in the hearts of all who knew him and made a lasting impression on everyone who crossed his path. He was deeply loved by his family, peers and community and will be deeply missed.
Arnold leaves to mourn and cherished his memory, his father Rofio S. Greenfield, his mother Aldonna Roberts, his aunts and uncles Hawa McCabe Trinity, Uvet Greenfield Williams (Richu), Phoebe B. Greenfield, Kollie McCabe Sr. (Mardia), Clarence Greenfield, David B.S. Greenfield III (Sharon), Richard Greenfield (Roma), Varney Carter (Mamie), and James Williams (Mara). His siblings Samuel J. McCabe Sr. (Tianna), Natischia Chloe Ejiogu, Augustus Wallace (Catherine), and Kelton Wortee, nieces and nephews, cousins; countless friends and loved ones in Liberia, Nigeria and the United States.
Arnold was predeceased by his paternal grandparents David B.S. Greenfield Jr. and Nellie Zoe M. Carter Greenfield, his maternal grandparents Deraper Roberts and Sophia Dennis Roberts, and his aunt Maurine Jassa Summerville Smith.
Arnold’s life was a gift to us all, and though his time with us was far too short, the impact he made will endure forever. “Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.”
Arrangements have been entrusted to the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green, 662 Savin Avenue, West Haven, CT. Calling hours will be on the morning of Saturday, August 16, 2025, from nine to eleven o'clock. His homegoing service will begin at eleven o'clock in the funeral parlor. Interment will be private.
