Carol Lynch Driscoll, 92, of West Haven, passed away March 20, 2025. Born June 29, 1932, raised in the Spring Glen area of Hamden, Carol was a daughter of the late Bernard E. and Dorothy Coffey Lynch. Her loving family includes her children Mary Driscoll, Bernard (Ann) Driscoll and Heather Driscoll, grandchildren Kelsey and Ryan, and her siblings Barbara Lynch Ortoleva and the late Bernard E. Lynch, Jr. Upon graduation from St. Mary’s High School, Carol moved to Washington DC. As a young woman, it was a memorable and exciting time. She enjoyed sharing stories of her adventures. It was upon her return to CT., that Carol met her late husband, Joseph Thomas Driscoll. Shortly after marriage, they settled in West Haven. A strong, hard working woman of Irish heritage, Carol worked tirelessly as the assistant manager at Krauszer’s to provide for her family after the passing of her husband. It is this resilience that allowed her to shine in her battle with several medical challenges over the past several years. If you knew Carol, you knew she was a genuine and caring person, always starting a conversation from the perspective of other's "what's going on with you?"
Her hobbies were many, including her love of gardening as her home flourished with planted flowers and beautiful window boxes. She took full advantage of the West Haven beaches, as well as the beaches of Block Island, which included many day trips with old friends.
The Driscoll family would like to extend their thanks to the entire staff at Milford Health and Rehab and to the many supportive friends Carol made while there. Her life was a blessing and the memories we have of her will be forever treasured.
Visitation will take place on Thursday March 27 from 4 to 7 pm at the West Haven Funeral Home. A prayer service will begin at 6:30. Carol's family will gather at a later date for a private interment.
