Carol Ann Tantimonaco Ross, 82, of Milford, passed away at home on March 5, 2021. She was born in New Haven on February 16, 1939, to the late Joseph and Antoinette (Loiurio) Tantimonaco.
After graduating high school, Carol moved to New York to pursue a career in Nursing. She earned her diploma in Nursing from Kings County Hospital School of Nursing in 1959. Through the years, Carol continued to further her education and went on to achieve a BA in Philosophy in 1968, BS in Nursing in 1982, and MS in Nursing Administration in 1984. Carol was an animal lover (especially cats), enjoyed baseball games (a lifelong Mets fan), and an avid reader (with an impressive collection of books) before losing her sight in recent years.
She was predeceased by her sisters, Mary Buckley and Lucille Ross, and brother, Carl Tantimonaco. Carol is survived by her brother-in-law, Howard Ross; sister-in-law, Sharon Tantimonaco; nephews Gary Ross, Ken Ross, and Joseph Tantimonaco; nieces Kathleen Patterson, Tracy Huneke, and Kim Ross; several great-nephews and great-nieces. Carol’s family would like to extend special thanks to her neighbors, Beverly Smith and Louis and Carol Paolillo, for all the kindness and assistance they provided Carol over the years.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on October 20, at 10AM in St. Stanislaus Church, 9 Eld St., New Haven. Inurnment will follow in St. Lawrence Garden Mausoleum.
