Cathleen Nielsen Obituary

Cathleen M. Nielsen passed away at the age of 83 on July 4, 2021. She is survived by her husband Robert Nielsen, her son Robert Nielsen Jr. (Carolyn), her daughter Patricia Nielsen, her grandchildren Robert Nielsen III (Carissa), Matthew Nielsen (Amy), John Nielsen and Sam Nielsen and her great-grandchildren Gwen Nielsen and George Nielsen. Cathy was raised in Woodlawn in the Bronx and was a graduate of St. Barnabas High School. She and Bob raised their family in Bedford Village where they lived for 55 years. Cathy was a longtime employee of the Bank of New York in Bedford Village. A warm and friendly person, Cathy will be dearly missed by her family and her friends from the bank and the fire department. A service to celebrate Cathy’s life will be held in the near future in Bedford Village.
