Celeste M. Colaluce, 91, entered into rest on April 29, 2024 at her home. Dolly, as her family affectionately nicknamed her, enjoyed a full and active life. Blessed to share all sorts of activities with five generations, Dolly also maintained a fulfilling social life with many longtime friends. When not socializing, she was busy tending to her garden, another hobby that brought her great joy. Dolly also held a career as an administrative clerk, retiring from the Knights of Columbus.
A daughter of the late Guiseppe and Arcangela Goffredo Colaluce, Dolly’s brothers Mario, Gennaro, Pasquale, John, Dominic, and Cosmo are also deceased. She will be greatly missed by her nieces and nephew Kathy and Paul Oberempt, Angela Colaluce, her treasured grandnieces Stacy and Angela, who cared for her with so much love, her brother Anthony and many generations of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place on FRIDAY May 3, 2024 from 10 am to noon at the West Haven Funeral Home.
Prayers will begin at noon. Interment will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to WHEAT, or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
