Charles C. Gomez

Charles Clifford Gomez, age 94, passed away on June 26, 2020.  He was born in New Haven, son of the late Harry and Elizabeth Brown Gomas.  Charles is survived by his daughter Charlene Gomez, his son Clifford Russell Gomez and his wife Gerri, his granddaughter, his brother Emmanuel J. Gomez, and his sister Elizabeth Foster.  He was predeceased by his sons Garry Ellis Gomez and Charles Clifford Gomez Jr. and his siblings Bernice Simmons, Clara McElya, Henry, John and Richard Gomez.  Charles was a proud US Navy Veteran.  He received a wartime commission of Chief Petty Officer aboard LST 542.  Prior to his retirement, Charles was a machinist for Pfizer.

The hours for visitation will be Tuesday July 7, 2020 from 5-7pm at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green.  Interment will be private, in Long Island National Cemetery.
