Charles Michael Lennon--loving husband, family man and friend to all--died February 16, 2021 at Yale New Haven Hospital of complications from COVID-19. He was 73. In addition to his adoring wife of 51 years, Anne-Marie Roy, Mike leaves behind his five children, Vicki Wrightington (Tom Casey), Jenn DeMaio, Kate Vetro (Steve), Craig Lennon (Lena) and Nicole Olson (Adam Reeves) who all credit him with instilling in them a strong work ethic and other important values through his patient and gentle guidance, whether it be about something that needed repairing or any other life event that just needed fixing. They will never forget his infectious smile, corny jokes, and his amazing luck in casinos. He earned a Golden Arm plaque in Las Vegas for rolling dice for over an hour. In addition to his wife and children, Mike leaves siblings Peter Lennon, Christopher Lennon (Adrienne), Robert Lennon, and Holly Lennon as well as 13 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Norma Lennon and his nephew Joshua Lennon.
Mike, as he was known, was a lifelong resident of West Haven, where he also served as a Councilman at Large for two terms from 1991 to 1994. He used his tinkering and fixing skills to maintain and repair West Haven’s voting machines for over 25 years and at his job as a Process Engineer at Stanley Black and Decker.
On Wednesday February 24, a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Church of St. Louis, St. John the XXIII parish at 11 o’clock. Interment will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
