Cheryl (Pimer) Romano

Cheryl Pimer Romano, died on December 10, 2025 after a year long, hard fought, battle with brain cancer. A daughter of LeRoy J. Pimer and the late Judith Bradley Pimer, Cheryl, was 59 years young.
In addition to her father, Cheryl’s heartbroken family includes her daughter Nicole Romano, Joe Celano, her soulmate of 30 years, her siblings Laura (Seth) Roberts and Christopher (Sherry) Pimer and Joe’s children, Joey (Stephanie) Celano and Kevin Celano, as well as her nephews Chris (Kendra) Pimer Jr., Colt Pimer, and Joshua Roberts. aunts, uncles, great nieces and nephews, all of whom loved her very much. 

 A lifelong resident of West Haven, Cheryl truly dabbled in many interests of work. She was a creative cake decorator and studied hairdressing. Her 30-year career as a bus driver for the Winkle Bus Company brought her great joy. She looked forward to safely transporting generations of children, greeting them each day, hearing their laughter and sharing their stories. Years later, the students remembered her well when she encountered them as adults. When Cheryl wasn’t working, she loved spending her time at the beach, fishing, camping, gardening and playing with Zoey & Ivy Celano, her blended family grandchildren.
Cheryl’s family was everything to her.

 Friends may visit Cheryl’s family on Monday December 15, from 4:00-7:00 pm at the West Haven Funeral Home. A prayer service will take place at 6:30pm at the funeral home. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Make-a-Wish, 56 Commerce Drive, Trumbull, CT. 06611.
