Christine Marie Grillo

Christine Marie Grillo, entered into eternal rest on May 12, 2026.  Born in New Haven on March 7, 1946, Christine was the daughter of the late John and Angelina Lamberto Grillo.

Auntie, as she was affectionately known, lived her life surrounded by love and family.  Although she did not have her own biological children, Christine shared her life with an abundance of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. She maintained a special and personal relationship with each of them, always involved in their lives and included in their activities and celebrations.  She was there to support in times of hardship, willing to provide assistance on every level.

Auntie’s heartbroken family includes her sister Barbara Daniele, nieces and nephews Angela (Brian) Lacroix, Anthony (Jessica) Gambardella, John (Jessica) Gambardella, Vincent (Jessica) Daniele, and Stephanie Daniele, Kendra (Jay) Lassiter. She was the proud great aunt of Hailey & Nathan Lacroix, Dominic Daniele, Jasmine Gambardella, Alana Gambardella, Brandon & Ashley Gambardella, Anthony Gambardella, Nikolette & LJ Daniele, David Hilker. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her brother John Grillo, her great nephew Alec Gambardella and great niece Madysin Hilker, a loss she could never accept.

Visitation to honor the life of Auntie, will take place on Friday May 29 from 10 am until noon at the West Haven Funeral Home.  A parlor service will begin at noon. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the West Haven Animal Shelter or to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
