Claire (Patenaude) Mari

On Monday, February 19, 2024, Claire Mari, 91, of West Haven entered into eternal rest.  She was the wife of the late George A. Mari. Born December 25, 1932, the only child of Aime and Anna Larrivee Patenaude, Claire leaves behind a loving family including her children, Bruce (Jan) Mari, John (Jacquie) Mari, Brian (Cathy) Mari, and Lisa (Mason) Scranton, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as many other family and friends, too numerous to list.

A lifelong resident of West Haven, Claire worked over 20 years at Southern New England Telephone Company and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. She was active in the Ladies of St. Anne’s Guild at St. Louis Church.  In her free time, Claire traveled many miles and enjoyed adventures while RVing throughout North America.  She loved family gatherings; breakfast sandwiches with coffee by the beach; and sitting outside Baybrook Arms, chatting with friends.  The family extends their heartfelt thanks to Louis and the entire staff at Seacrest Retirement Center for their kindness and compassionate care.

At Claire’s request, there are no services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to WHEAT, 674 Washington Ave., West Haven, CT 06516.
