Colette (Hickey) DeLise

Colette (Hickey) DeLise of West Haven, Connecticut, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on May 7, 2023 at the age of 84.  She was the beloved wife of David DeLise.  Born May 2, 1939 she was the daughter of the late John and Gladys (Griffin) Hickey.  Colette met her husband at the age of five.  They were high school sweethearts. They married on June 13, 1959.  They would have celebrated 64 years of marriage on June 13, 2023.  She devoted most of her young life raising her children and focusing on family.  Later in life she did work at Sears Service Center and Scholastic Books where she made wonderful lifelong friends.  She was an avid reader with a gift of gab and had a great Irish sense of humor.  Colette is survived by her loving husband, David DeLise as well as her two children, Doreen DeLise Stathis (George) and Scott DeLise (Cory).  She is also survived by her five grandchildren, Christopher Stathis (Melinda), Alexa Stathis, Ann Massie (Shaun), Meg Gardner (Joe) and Sage Urban as well as great grandchildren Rylan and Ella Massie and Joey Gardner.

The family will be respecting her last wishes by holding a small, private celebration of life in her honor.
