Corinne A. Nitido, 91, of Branford passed away peacefully on October 3, 2024 at her home. Born in New Haven on August 28, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Herbert and Anna Doolin Carrignan and a life long West Haven resident until her move to Branford several years ago.
The matriarch of a large and loving family, Corinne leaves her beloved husband of almost 70 years, Vincent Nitido, her six children, all of whom she was most proud, Vincent (Laurie) Nitido, Richard (Kelly) Nitido, Thomas (Wendy) Nitido, Nancy (Lee) Meyer, Mary (Jamie) Horvath Dianne (Jim) Eagan, 16 adored grandchildren, 7 precious great grandchildren and her brother Lawrence Carrignan. In addition to her parents, Corinne is predeceased by her grandson Brian Meyer and her siblings Mary Rosello, Joan Sheridan, Nancy Studdard and Bud Carrignan.
A celebration of Corinne’s life will take place on Monday morning October 21st at the West Haven Funeral Home from 9 to 11 am. Prayers will begin at 11 o’clock, followed by interment in Oak Grove Cemetery.
