Corrinne Elizabeth Henninger, 92, of North Haven passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at home with family by her side. Corrinne was born in New Haven on May 6, 1932, and was the daughter of the late Theresa Saldibar Melillo and Philip Melillo. She had been a longtime employee of the former Montowese Convalescent Home in North Haven and enjoyed her compassionate work there as a certified nursing assistant until her retirement.
In addition to her parents, Corrinne was predeceased by her loving husband Robert G. Henninger, Sr., her daughter Doreen Henninger and granddaughter Nicole Henninger Ayala. She leaves to celebrate her memory her loving children, Roberta McGrath (Larry), Gayle Duhaime (Peter), Debra Von Tobel (Howard), Robert Henninger, Jr. (Debbie), David Henninger (Maria), Kenneth Henninger, Brian Henninger (Maria) and Troy Henninger (Cornell). Corrinne is also survived by her loving sister-in-law Gayle Neff (Bruce) and many grandchildren and great grandchildren, along with numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and other extended family and friends.
Family and friends may call at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green, 662 Savin Avenue, West Haven, CT on Thursday, March 6, 2025, from 9:00am to 11:00am. Funeral Home Services will be held at 11:00am, followed by interment at St. Lawrence Cemetery, 280 Derby Avenue, West Haven, CT.
