Cosmo "Jim" Perrelli

Cosmo "Jim" Perrelli, 80, entered into rest on July 26, 2024.  He was the beloved husband of Alice Peterson Redding Perrelli. A very proud father of Mark Perrelli, Donna Redding (Craig) Kennedy, Peter (Sara) Redding, WHFD, he adored his grandsons, Derek James Perrelli, Ryan Craig Kennedy and Matthew James Kennedy. Jim also leaves siblings, Louise Tramontano, Marie (the late LeRoy) Young, Dominic (Patricia) Perrelli, many loving nieces and nephews and his grand fur-babies, Leila, Krueger and Alfred. 
 
Born on September 3, 1943, a son of the late Dominic and Sophia Puziello Perrelli, Cosmo and his family resided in the Goatville section of New Haven. His sister, Patricia Perrelli, also predeceases him.

A 1962 graduate of Wilbur Cross High School, Jim studied at the University of New Haven. For over 50 years, he proudly owned and operated J & V Heating with his close friend and loyal employee, Frank Civitello. Alice and Jim maintained their home in West Haven and spent many happy winters in Jensen Beach, FL. His greatest joys in life were watching his grandsons grow throughout the years. Jim’s devotion to his family and his work will continue to serve as a reminder of the legacy he leaves for his family to cherish.

On Saturday August 3rd, please join Jim’s family for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 o’clock in St. Agnes Church, parish of Precious Blood, Woodmont. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the West Haven Animal Shelter.
