Craig W. Thomas, a proud member of the Schaghticoke Tribal Nation, passed away on May 13, 2025, at the age of 62. Born on September 29, 1962, Craig served his country with honor in the US Army, achieving the rank of Specialist 4 (SP4). He was awarded the Army Service Ribbon, Army Achievement Medal, and Marksman Badge (Rifle) for his dedication and service.
After his military service, Craig worked in telecommunications. He is survived by his children Daniel Thomas Sr. (Raquel) and Crystal Thomas; grandchildren Ebonee Thomas, Daniel Thomas Jr., and Aliyah Myrick; great-grandchildren Jasini’ya Thomas and Cataley’a Ruiz; and siblings Howard M. Thomas Jr. and Holly C. Thomas Ciecierski (David) and nieces. Craig is also remembered fondly by many loved friends.
Craig was preceded in death by his wife April Potasz Thomas; father Howard M. Thomas Sr., and mother Barbara J. Bloomer Thomas.
Services will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025 at West Haven Funeral Home at the Green, 662 Savin Avenue, West Haven, CT, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Visitation from 4-6pm, Military Honors at 6pm followed by a time of remembrance at 6:30pm.
Craig's legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched, and his memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
