Cynthia Ann Sikorski, of West Haven, entered into rest on December 3, 2024. Cindy’s heartbroken family includes her son Paul Sikorski, Jr. and her mother Lorraine (Lori) DeAngelo LaMonica. She also leaves behind her former husband Paul Sikorski, Sr. and friends too numerous to list. She was predeceased by her father Gerald R. “Jerry” LaMonica.
Cindy graduated from West Haven High School in 1976 and held many jobs before becoming the secretary for international admissions at UNH, a position she held until her son Paulie was born.
After raising Paulie, Cindy began a second career at Forest School, West Haven as a paraprofessional. For the past 23 years, she shaped the lives of so many students. She cherished her job and over the years and found so much fulfillment in working with her pupils.
As Paul grew up, he and Cindy established many fun traditions, several of which continue to this day. Her hobbies were many. Second, only to spending time with her pets, especially her cat Emma, Cindy could be found pruning, planting and enjoying her colorful flower garden.
The hours for visitation will take place on Monday December 9, from 4 to 7 pm at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. On Tuesday morning, the procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the St. Louis Church of St. John XXIII Parish at 10 o'clock. Interment will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
