Kelly, Jr. In addition to Ryan, Dan leaves his daughter-in-law Michelle Kelly; grandsons Daniel III, Ethan, Mathew, Rocco and Tyler Kelly; his brother Walter (Elizabeth) Kelly; 8 nieces and nephews; as well as 13 great-nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by siblings Frances Johnson and Edward F. Kelly Jr.
Dan has been involved in the Elevator Union, local 91 since 1974. There he was an Elevator Mechanic working his way up to Business Agent and continuing to teach in their apprentice program. Those who knew him understood the passion he had towards his career and how proud he was to be an "Elevator Man". Family remained the center of his focus and would often boast about watching his grandsons play hockey and lacrosse, or discussing how proud he was of the badges earned and milestones achieved in Boy Scouts. Dan was also an avid golfer and enjoyed playing up until his passing.
The hours for visitation will take place on Thursday, January 2nd, from 4 to 7pm at the West Haven Funeral Home.
