Daniel Lynch Obituary

Daniel Morgan Lynch of West Haven, CT, passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 19, 2026, at the age of 68.

Born on March 30, 1957, Dan was a lifelong resident of West Haven, CT.

Dan was a truck driver for Curved Glass Distributors, Inc. in Derby, CT for 40 years. He served as Treasurer and then Vice President for the Steel Workers Union of Connecticut during his tenure at Curved Glass.

Dan’s true passion was music. Starting as a teenager, he was an accomplished musician, having played bass guitar for numerous projects over the years, including contributions to nationally recognized jingles. Some of his bands over the years included Myth, The Savin Rock Band, Trial Mile, Maxx’d Out, Hi-Fi Radio, and most recently, Maximum Overdrive and Bad Saints. One highlight of Dan’s career was opening for Foreigner. You could often find him at an open mic night, welcomed immediately as his bass musical knowledge was so extensive.  You may have been lucky enough to see him break out the harmonica, jamming along to every song under the sun!

Dan was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and the Dallas Cowboys. He was very proud of his Irish and Puerto Rican heritage, and was especially a proud American. His kindness and outgoing nature welcomed friends far and wide. One of his favorite sayings was, “Strangers are only friends I haven’t met yet.”

He was a proud member of the West Haven Elks and the Irish Heritage Society of Milford.

Dan and Michele shared the same passion for live music, wineries, and good friends. Michele’s unconditional love was present until the end.

Left to cherish his memory is his mother, Isabel “Betty” Lynch; the love of his life, Michele Dark; his sister, Sable Roesh (Joe her husband); numerous family members, too many to note; as well as his best friends who were like brothers, Mark Minervini and Dave Sestito.

Dan’s final message – “You can’t buy beer; you can only rent it!”
