Deborah J. Cody

Deborah (Debbie) J. Cody, 65, of West Haven, CT passed away peacefully on January 9, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones.  Born on October 25, 1960, in New Haven, CT, a daughter of Angela Luedee-Faughnan and the late Frank Cody.  She is survived by her son Peter Savenelli who was truly the light of her life.  The bond they shared was immeasurable and was proven by the dedicated care that he gave to his mom through this journey.  In addition to her mother, Debbie leaves sisters Diane Cody and Michelle (John) Heaphy; nieces Nicole Hazen and Amanda DiLeonardo; and nephews Gary Hazen and Cody DiLeonardo.  Debbie also leaves behind her Aunt Margie, Uncle Peter, and many loving cousins here and in Canada. Along with her father, Debbie was preceded in death by stepfather Charlie Faughnan and brother-in-law Michael DiLeonardo.   

Debbie was known for her unique sense of humor, who genuinely enjoyed bringing smiles and laughter to so many.  She was also distinguished by her warm-hearted and empathetic way when working around the patients in her previous role with Harbor View Manor. She truly touched many patients and families during her employment there. 

The family wishes to express their gratitude to all that have reached out during this difficult time.

Arrangements were entrusted to the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green.  Services will be held at a later date.
