It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Debra A. Nicoletti on July 29, 2025. Having met 63 years ago as next-door neighbors, Debbie was the best friend and soulmate of Leonard Nicoletti. She was the proud mother of Kristen (Andy) Teshoney and Sharra (Josh) Cox and adored grandmother of Jenna and Drew Teshoney and Chelsea and Carly Cox. She was the daughter of the late Donald and Marcy Grande Lewis and is also predeceased by her only brother Gary Lewis.
Debbie’s professional career spanned decades, first at SNET as a business-to-business Yellow Pages sales executive, and then after “retiring” she spent another 18 years working at Connex Credit Union in Orange, CT as a teller. Ever patient and caring, her reputation led to a following of customers that even now continue to reach out. Nothing in life was treasured more than the memories made year after year in Debbie’s Happy Place, her annual trip to Orange Lakes in Kissimmee, FL. Surrounded by family and all the fun things Orlando offered, including stops to a gift shop or twelve, Debbie looked forward to every trip even before the current one ended.
Hours for visitation will take place on Sunday, August 3rd, from 3 to 6 PM at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. On Monday morning, a prayer service will begin at the funeral home at 10:00. Interment will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery. In lieu of flowers and because Debbie’s favorite thing was to make sure no one ever left her house hungry, we would ask that donations be made in her name to WHEAT www.wheatpantry.org to ensure those in need are fed.
