Dolores DeChello, 88, a lifelong resident of West Haven entered into rest on April 26, 2025. She is survived by siblings George (Kathy) DeChello, Jane Martin and Patricia (Pat) Aveni, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great, great nieces and nephews. Although she did not have children of her own, Dee had a very special bond with her nieces and nephews. A daughter of the late John and Jennie (Colicchio) DeChello, she is also predeceased by siblings Mary Giannotti, Eleanor Squeglia, Victoria Innamorato, Barbara Godlewski, Louis DeChello, John DeChello and most recently Rose Marie DeChello.
For over 30 years, Dee worked at Stop & Shop until her retirement. Some of her favorite pastimes include candy making, crafting and trips to the casino. She shared her talents as an excellent cook and baker with so many. All of whom looked forward to these treats!
Visitation will take place on Thursday May 1, 2025 from 4 to 6:30pm at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. A prayer service will begin at 6:30. Interment will take place privately.
