Donald H. Pitcher

Donald H. Pitcher, age 93, of West Haven passed away on October 6, 2023, at the Veterans Administration Hospital.  He was born in New Haven, son of the late Daniel and Marie Creed Pitcher.  Donald is survived by his cousins, Patricia Bartholomew, Patricia Langella, Deborah (Doug) Brown, Richard (Joe Jankowski) Langella, Vincent (Shelley) Langella, Eugene (Alison) Bartholomew and Gregory (Joy) Bartholomew.  In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his cousins Janet S. Langella and Ronald Stickney.  Prior to his retirement, Donald enjoyed his career working for New Haven Savings Bank.  He was a Free Mason for over 50 years.  Donald loved to listen to classical music, taking in a good Broadway Show and watching his beloved New York Yankees.

He enjoyed his many visits to App’s Restaurant and became a regular.  So much so, the restaurant became his second home, and the staff became his extended family.  Donalds family would like to thank Carol and Jason for always taking care of him.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Graveside Service on Wednesday, October 18th at 10am at the State Veterans Cemetery, Middletown.  West Haven Funeral Home at the Green has been entrusted with arrangements.
