Donna Marie (Juliano) Milano 73, of West Haven, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2025, at Yale New Haven Hospital, Saint Raphael Campus, surrounded by her loved ones.
Born November 5, 1951, in New Haven, Donna was the daughter of the late Joseph P. Juliano, of Hamden, and Josephine A. (DePetto) Sobol of East Haven. She is survived by her loving children; Philip (Andrea Milano-Mora) Milano of Larchmont, NY, and Natalie (Ed) Flanders of Guilford. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Aiden and Audrey Flanders & Isabella and Matteo Milano-Mora, three sisters Joyce (Anthony Klimas Jr.) Morrissey of West Haven, Barbara Giordano of Branford, and Patricia Dostie of East Haven. She will be greatly missed by her loving partner, Robert Grosberg, who adored her to the very end. Donna is preceded in death by her brother, Peter Juliano (December 2007) and stepfather, Stanley Sobol (March 2017).
Donna defined herself by her love for her children and her family. She was endlessly optimistic, selfless, and had an unwavering spirit. Donna enjoyed long drives with Robert, old films, the Italian House Party, and Engelbert Humperdinck, but most of all she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and family. She leaves behind her love, her lessons, and the imprints of her kindness. Donna will be eternally missed.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 5th, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green, 662 Savin Avenue, West Haven. The funeral procession will leave the West Haven Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 6th at 9:30 AM to celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Therese Church, 555 Middletown Ave. North Haven at 10 o’clock with Committal to follow in All Saints Cemetery, at 700 Middletown Ave, North Haven.
