Edward J. Lessandrini

Edward J. Lessandrini, 82, of West Haven entered into rest on April 29, 2024.  He was the husband of Nancy Simonette Lessandrini. In addition to Nancy, Ed leaves his daughter Briana Lessandrini (Nick) Hardrict, his brother Walter (Gaye) Lessandrini, brother-in-law Brian (Margaret) Simonette, nephews John, Mark and Brett Lessandrini and Alec Simonette, and his fur buddy Teddy, who was always by his side.

For many years, Ed was a well-known auto mechanic, specifically working on Volkswagens and other foreign vehicles.  A saltwater fisherman, when the fish were running, Ed was casting on a boat with friends and his nephews or off the rocks on the shore in West Haven.  Even a bad day of fishing was a great day for him!  He enjoyed watching the Yankees and the Rangers and had a fondness for all animals.

The hours for visitation will take place on Monday May 6 from 4 to 7 pm at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green.  On Tuesday morning, the funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 10 o’clock.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Agnes Church,400 Merwin Ave. Woodmont, Precious Blood Parish at 10:30.  Interment with military honors will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
