Edward P Basquill

Edward P. Basquill, 69, passed away peacefully with family by his side on October 1st in Boca Raton, FL after a brief illness. Ed was born in New Haven, on February 24, 1956, to Francis X. and Lois Baker Basquill. He graduated from Eli Whitney High School and worked as an electrician at the Hospital of St. Raphael. Soon thereafter, Ed started his own business, Astra Services, and moved to Florida in 1986. He enjoyed working in the national telecommunications market for over two decades before his retirement in 2006.

Ed is survived by his sons Kevin (Kaitlin) and Edward (Camyla), sisters Sharon (David) Furtak and Patricia (Timothy) Pickering; brother Michael and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Ed enjoyed boating, fast cars, horses, country music and a good steak.

A graveside service will be celebrated on Friday November 14, at 11 am in St. Lawrence Cemetery.  Enter the cemetery on Derby Avenue and meet at the cemetery office at 10:45.
