Edward Streeto Sr. Obituary

Edward A. Streeto, Sr., 88 of West Haven died on Saturday July 2, 2022 at the Hospital of St. Rafael. He passed with his loving family by his bedside. Ed was the devoted husband of the late Orinda Pereira Streeto. He leaves a large and loving family including his son Edward A. Streeto Jr., his daughter Lisa and her husband Joseph Pirolo Jr. His beloved granddaughter Olivia Grace Pirolo, his pride and joy. His siblings Lynwood Streeto and Lucille Clancy and Orinda’s four sisters and their families, Gloria (Antonio) Pereira, Alzira (Dominick) Reis, Olivia (the late Manuel) Tavares, and Mary (Antonio Gabriel) Cunha. Born in New Haven on February 26, 1934 Ed was predeceased by his parents Julius and Carmela Iovieno Streeto. He retired from Lynn Ladders and Scaffolding where he was employed as a machine operator for many years.

Edward lived a beautiful life enjoying various activities, such as fishing, hunting, wood burning, gardening, tending to his rabbits and chickens, watching baseball, and much more, most of which he enjoyed with his granddaughter. “Pa” as he was called, loved making pancakes for breakfast with Olivia, which became a tradition over the years. His special pancake recipe was one of the best around according to his family. There will never be a pancake that compares to the ones he made with love.
