Elizabeth Fanning

Elizabeth "Betty" Pawlo Fanning passed away Sunday, November 7. Elizabeth was the widow of John Fanning. They had been married 67 years when he passed. She was also predeceased by her son Michael and her daughter Kathleen. She is survived by her son Edward. Elizabeth was the daughter of Jan and Anna Slavik Pawlo. She arrived in this country at the age of 6, along with her mother and sister. Her father was already here. She set sail on the SS America arriving in this country on 7 Apr 1930, to a very different way of life. Her documents listed her name as Alzbeta. Betty was a kind and loving woman who will be missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, November 10, from 9:30 - 10:30 AM at West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11AM in St. Agnes Church, Woodmont. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, North Haven.
