Elizabeth Orsini Obituary

Elizabeth Anne “Betty” Orsini, age 82, passed away with her loved ones by her side on June 20, 2022 at CT Hospice.  She was the wife of the late Joseph A. Orsini Jr.  Elizabeth was born in New Haven, daughter of the late Norman and Alice Northrop Marette. 

Betty is survived by her loving children, Joseph A. Orsini III of FL and Karen (Bernard Jr.) Muro of West Haven, her cherished grandchildren, Bernard Muro III of West Haven, Michelle Elizabeth (Josh) Calvanese of FL, Nicole Elizabeth Orsini of New Haven, and Joseph Robert Muro of West Haven, her adoring great grandson Joseph Robert Calvanese, her beloved life companion Jake Hopkins of West Haven, her brother Phillip Marette of OH, her former daughter-in-law Donna VanderPoel of Stamford and her extended second family the Hopkin’s Family.  She was also predeceased by her son Robert "Bobby" Orsini and her brother Donald Marette. 

Betty was loved by all, she always put others first. She had a passion for helping others, which made her working career so successful.  Over the years she worked in retail.  Working for Alexander’s, Filene’s, Macy’s and Lord & Taylors. She also volunteered many hours at the Beth-El Center in Milford.

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, July 2nd at 11am in Oak Grove Cemetery.  West Haven Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements.
