Ellen Norah Fisher, affectionately known as "Aunty," 88 years old, slipped away peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on August 17, 2024, at Connecticut Hospice in Branford, Connecticut. Aunty was born on November 19, 1935, to mother Sarah Jane Ecleston, and father Daniel Hines. She was zealous in serving Almighty God and radiated the beauty of Jesus Christ in her daily walk with the Master. She exuded kindness to all who came in contact with her. Aunty worked tirelessly as a Certified Nurse’s Aide for over 30 years, and with compassion, and love, she cared for others. She is survived by daughters Patricia Farquharson, and Pauline Burgio. Wong grandchildren: Elizabeth Norah, Phillip Pindon Lee, DeAnna Delsie, Emily Leah, Victoria Laura-Ann. Farquharson grandchildren: Tara, Katherine, Pearl, and Sarah. Great grandchildren: Kayleen, Eli, Roland Liam, Idris, and Zo. Pets: Larry Fisher, and Maximillian Farquharson. Nieces Faith Walters and Norma Lynn White, nephews Anthony Walters, Bishop Oral Walters, and Mark Walters, sister-in-law Mrs. Cynthia Walters , life-long friend and sister, Rose Alves (Aunt Jessie).
Visitation will be held on Friday morning August 23 from 10 to 11 at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. Her going home service will commence at the funeral home at 11am. Interment will follow in Beaverdale Memorial Park.
