Ellen Georgette

Ellen Margaret Starkey Georgette, age 74, the beloved wife of Glenn Georgette, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2024 at CT Hospice with her loving family by her side.  Ellen was born on September 1, 1949 in Danbury, CT. She was the daughter of the late Marion Leonard Starkey from Bridgeport, CT and Ernest James Starkey from San Jose, CA.

She was employed by the New Haven Board of Education for 27 years as a special education teacher and retired in 2009. She had a love for quilting, knitting, crocheting, and reading.

In addition to her husband of 37 years, Ellen is also survived by one brother, Ernest James Leonard Starkey; one daughter, Davita Marie Starkey; four granddaughters, Dawn, Desiree, Danielle and Sharee; and 7 great grandchildren, Michael, Nathanial, Jeremy, Naomi, Ryleigh, Rian and Semaj.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, February 26th, at 10am in St. John Vianney Church of St John XXIII Parish of West Haven, CT.  Interment will be private.
