Emilia Domínguez Peña was born in Santa Clara, Cuba, on June 30, 1927. Throughout her life, she distinguished herself through her strength, dedication, and unconditional love for her family.
She lived a large part of her life in San Juan, Puerto Rico, where she built a home filled with affection, values, and indelible memories. For health reasons—and much to her regret—she moved to West Haven, Connecticut, with the hope of one day returning to her beloved Puerto Rico.
Emilia was a strong woman, a fighter, and a tireless worker whose greatest satisfaction was looking after the well-being of her loved ones. Her example of sacrifice, perseverance, and love will remain alive in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
She is survived by her daughters, Maritza and Izaida; her grandchildren, Juan Carlos, Patricia, Asia Marie, Jonathan, and Kathiria; as well as her great-grandchildren and other relatives, who will forever treasure her memory and the legacy of love she left behind.
Today, we bid farewell with deep affection to an exemplary mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Although her passing leaves a great void, her spirit will continue to accompany her family in every memory, every lesson, and every gesture of love.
May our beloved Milla rest in peace.
"Those we love never truly leave us; they live forever in our hearts." ❤️
