Filomena Mary Tortora, 94, a longtime resident of West Haven, died on February 26, 2024, at Connecticut Hospice. Born in New Haven on July 23, 1929, a daughter of the late Cosmo and Mary (Vitale) Benedetto. Survived by loving children Linda (Paul) Limauro, Paul D. (Debra) Tortora, and David Tortora; stepdaughter Joanne Zito; grandchildren Michael (Julie) Limauro, Paul J., Johnathan, Matthew (Kasey) Tortora, David Jr., and Tyler Tortora; great-grandchildren Branden and Madison Limauro; Jane, Ruby and Noah Tortora.
Preceded in death by her husband Pellegrino Tortora, companion Mike Zito and daughter-in-law Michelle Tortora.
Filomena enjoyed cooking wonderful Italian dishes, and the many active years spent at the Senior Center of Milford, most especially all things relating to Bingo. She will forever remain in the hearts of those left behind.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 1st at 10:30am in St. Agnes Church of Milford. All attendees are asked to meet directly at church. Interment will remain private.
