Frances (Franco) Richards

Frances Franco Richards, 96, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2025. Frances was employed by Sargent’s for 40 years. She was a lifelong resident of West Haven and a lifelong parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. She is survived by her brother John Franco as well as many nieces and nephews. Frances is predeceased by her husband Vernon Richards, mother Rose, and father John; sisters  Susan Sandella, Josephine Kiley, Lucy Pezzullo and Mary Sandella, brothers Frank, Mirano (Pop), Nick, Mike and Jerry.

The family would like to thank Orange Health Center and Hospice Staff for all their kindness and care for Frances. Also, Cindy Franco, John and Chris Sandella, and Markie (grandson).

Calling hours will be held at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green on Tuesday, March 25th from 10am to Noon, at which time a service will take place in the funeral parlor.  Interment will immediately follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Orange Health Center, 225 Boston Post Road.
