Frank David Virzi, Sr., age 62, a longtime resident of West Haven died on June 3, 2021. Frank was born in Ansonia, son of the late Frank P. and Lola Volto Virzi. He is survived by his brothers Julius of California and Charlie of West Haven; his caring former wife Richelle and two loving sons Thomas and Frank Jr., all of West Haven; nephews Tyler and Evan Jones as well as nieces Kelly Robino, Simone Virzi and Joselyn Colon. Frank was predeceased by his brother Joseph.
Frank was a career truck driver, employed by the City of West Haven, among other companies. Frank looked forward to spending time with his sons, particularly watching them perform motorcycle stunts and would record these events with great anticipation and excitement. Once considered to be one of the “hottest DJs in Connecticut”, he certainly loved his music. He was an avid NY Yankees fan and one of his greatest passions was muscle cars from the 1960’s and 1970’s, as well as taking his boys to various car shows. He will be best remembered for his incredible sense of humor, quick wit and most importantly- being a great dad. All who knew him will greatly miss him.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 10th from 3-5pm at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. A funeral service will commence at 5pm, in the funeral parlor.
