George R. Price

George Robert Price, 82, of West Haven, passed away on July 27, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on November 8, 1942, in New Haven, a son of Alfred and Dorothy Gould Price.

In addition to his cherished wife of 46 years, Monica Maroney Price, George is survived by sons Michael (Kimberly) Price, George (Marie) Price, Raymond (Candace) Ravis, and Jason (Claire) Price; daughter-in-law Darlene Price; and grandchildren Laura, Nicholas, Marina, Brady, Jackson, Alex, and Abbey.  He was preceded in death by son Kenneth Price; grandson Michael Price; great-granddaughter Emma Moscato; and brothers Alfred and William Price.

A retired captain of the New Haven Fire Department, George will be remembered for enjoying his grandchildren’s sporting events and golfing with friends; and for his favorite, playful line to his children: that he was “too damn good” to them.

Arrangements were entrusted to West Haven Funeral Home at the Green, 662 Savin Avenue, West Haven, CT.  All services will be private.
