Gerald J. “Goose” Sadlon, 77, of West Haven died on April 25, 2024. Born on November 8, 1946 in Derby, Goose was a son of the late John M. “Barney” and Josephine Rydzy Sadlon. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother John Sadlon, Jr.
A lifelong Westie, Goose attended the West Haven Public Schools and the University of New Haven. As a young man, he was a Boy Scout. He proudly served in Vietnam with the US Army and subsequently held a long career as a custodian for Yale University.
Goose was an active member of the Polish American Club. In addition, his hobbies included “playing the horses” and rooting for the NY Mets.
All are invited to attend a memorial Mass on MONDAY June 10 at 10 o’clock in St. John Vianney Church, St. John XXIII Parish. Interment, with military honors, will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Ansonia.
