Gloria S. D’Amato, 98, of West Haven died on July 11, 2025. Born on November 7, 1926, a daughter of John and Sophia Jasinkowsky Cebula of West Haven. Survived by daughter Debra (Richard) Matakaetis and son Alan (Susan) D’Amato; grandchildren Gregory (Treissa) Matakaetis, Eric (Jennifer) Matakaetis, Ryan (Katelyn) Matakaetis, and Stacey (Cameron) Tuttle; and great-grandchildren Keelan Matakaetis, Madelynn Tuttle, Morgan Tuttle, and Mason Matakaetis.
In addition to her parents, Gloria was preceded in death by her husband Vincent and sisters Mary Bloomer, Lucille Debattista, and Adele D’Agostino.
Calling hours will be on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, morning from 9 until 11 o’clock at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green, 662 Savin Avenue, West Haven, Connecticut. A prayer service will begin at 11 o’clock in the funeral parlor. Interment will follow at St. Lawrence Cemetery, 280 Derby Avenue, West Haven, Connecticut.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Gloria’s name may be offered to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, PO Box 100 Dept. 142 Memphis, TN 38181 or to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), PO Box 96929, Washington, DC 20090.
